Hi, I'm Rino Saladino, owner of Vela Dining & Bar and this is my invitation to you to come and join my team here, as Restaurant Manager. My grandfather is a chef, so I grew up around great food and people with a passion for good produce. My first job was washing dishes at the Festival House in Balmain, Sydney and the restaurant scene is most definitely in my blood!

I'm looking for somebody with a genuine passion for hospitality and the skills to lead a team to success. Ideally, with at least 3 years experience, you're also somebody that other people would describe as:

The gig

 

As the Restaurant Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant. You'll be responsible for ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained, managing staff, cost management and maintaining a smooth and efficient operation. That'll include:

  • Hands-on customer service operations;
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses;
  • Setting clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance evaluations;
  • Fostering a positive and motivated work environment to ensure staff members deliver exceptional customer service;
  • Operational Management;
  • Quality Control;
  • Event Coordination;
  • Financial Management; and
  • Implementing strategies to maximise revenue and profit margins.
